1 ¼ cup shortening
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup brown sugar
3 Tablespoon maple syrup
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups oats
2 King Size Butterfinger Bars (chopped)
Preheat oven 350 degrees
- Combine shortening, sugar, brown sugar, syrup, egg and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, baking soda, salt, and oats.
- Add dry ingredients (1 cup at a time) and blend.
- Stir in chopped Butterfinger bars
- Form dough into 1 inch balls and bake on greased cookie sheets 8-10 minutes (Cookies should be a little under-done, otherwise they will be too hard.)
- Remove from oven and let sit on cookie sheet for a minute or two. Remove to cooling rack.
